Young Oxbridgian
Designed to stretch your mind and grow your critical thinking skills, the Young Oxbridgian track is the perfect opportunity for students to explore their intellectual passions. This programme connects students who are not at the stage of university applications yet with expert Oxbridge graduates, exposing them to unique Oxbridge-style teaching through intensive 1-on-1 sessions.
The majority of students we talk to are unsure of what subject to pursue in university, and those who do often don't have the opportunity to go in-depth at school. This is why at the Oxbridge Collective, we nurture our students' intellectual passions by guiding their exploration of academic fields. We help students delve deep into a subject, challenge them to solve problems, and initiate projects that are CV-worthy.
We have crafted three courses to meet your needs, with the core components of:
-
Introductory supervisions and basic work: entry-level sessions to guide exploration in one to three academic subjects, depending on the student's interest. Students will be introduced to the most basic topics in the field to spark further investigation.
-
Guided projects: the essence of the YO track. Students initiate and carry out a project on an academic topic of interest under the guidance of an expert consultant. They will be 5, 10, or 15 hours in length depending on the course chosen.
-
Full portfolio website published: an opportunity for students to publish and disseminate their research/academic work via a portfolio website. Designed to impress employers, application committees, and beyond.
5 hours
-
Introductory supervisions for 1-2 subjects
-
Basic work (e.g. problem sheet, short essay)
We offer courses of varying length to cater to the different needs of different students. The 5-hour course provides a brief introduction to one or two students, allowing students to explore their academic interests, Our 15- and 25-hour courses give students a unique opportunity to delve deeper into a chosen subject with the guidance of expert graduates. A highlight of these courses is the ability to produce publishable output, like a website or essay they can submit to essay competitions.

With our particular specialisation in engineering and psychology (traditionally not taught in schools), as well as our vast network of Oxbridge consultants, we are well-equipped to walk with students in their journey to exploring their academic interests in-depth.

Through the Young Oxbridgian programme, our students become active learners who are constantly challenged to learn and explore new perspectives. These experiences of Oxbridge-style learning hone their key 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking and communication, preparing them for successful university applications and beyond.
